Data we collect
Contact form: When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address and message, plus the page or offer you came from, so we know what you were asking about. This is used to reply to your enquiry.
Mailing list: If you sign up for occasional notes, we store your email address in our database and send you a welcome email. Nothing else is collected.
Analytics (only if you accept): Google Analytics 4 loads only after you accept the analytics prompt. It records pages visited, time on site and approximate location (country or city), using a random identifier kept in first-party cookies. We do not send it your name or email address. If you decline, it is never loaded.

How we use your data
Contact form submissions are used to reply to your message. Mailing-list addresses are used to send the occasional notes you signed up for. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone beyond the services listed below.
Analytics data, when you allow it, is used in aggregate to see which pages are useful. We do not use it for advertising or to build profiles of individuals.
We also count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not identify you or follow you to other sites, and runs on every visit; it tells us which pages are read, not who reads them.

Contact form submissions and mailing-list addresses are stored in Supabase, hosted in the EU (Ireland). Emails (the notification to us, a confirmation to you, and the welcome email) are sent through Resend. If you accept analytics, that data is processed by Google. Email you send us, and our replies, are handled in Zoho Mail. We do not operate our own servers for user data.

Your rights
You can request deletion of any data we hold about you at any time. Contact us via the contact page and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data under GDPR/UK GDPR.
You can change your analytics choice at any time: reopen the analytics prompt.

Third parties
We use the following third-party services: Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), Zoho Mail (our mailboxes), Netlify (hosting), Cloudflare (DNS, CDN and cookieless page-view analytics), Google Fonts (typefaces, loaded on every visit, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads), and Google Analytics and Tag Manager (only if you accept). Each has its own privacy policy.
